Best hotel for 3 people

Hello, we are traveling the 3 of us and wondering if there is a cheaper way to booking a room for 3 people. Do hotels offer rooms for 2 and add an extra charge for the 3rd person? This is our first trip so we would be interested in staying close to the historic sights but not mandatory. Thanks.

Rooms are priced by the number of people who can sleep in them. Three people have to book a triple room. Hotels that can sometimes add a third bed are generally in the higher range; the price goes up if the double room is used as a triple.

Using www.venere.com and www.booking.com you can look for accommodations for # of people, locations, price & amenities- read the reviews as the Italian star system is different.

You don't say how long you'll be in Rome, if more than 3 or 4 days, maybe an apartment would be better.

Thank you for your suggestions. Since this is our first time, we will stay in the centro area of Rome. We will be there for 3-4 days. If anyone has favorite hotels near the Parthenon, Spanish steps, etc. please let us know!

Hotel Abruzzi.it looks very nice!
