Anyone Know of a Guided Caravaggio Tour in Rome?

Hello,

I will be going to Rome next week and am having difficulty finding anyone (company, etc.) that offers guided tours that take you to the places where you can find Caravaggio's paintings.

Has anyone taken this type of tour recently and/or know of someone that currently offers such a thing? The last listing I saw was in 2010 and there doesn't seem to be anything current.

Thanks.

Context Travel (mentioned above) will put together a specialized tour for you. They're not cheap, but their guides (docents, I think they call them) are supposed to be top notch.

I know this is slightly off topic, but the city of Montpellier (Southern France) is presently holding an exhibition entitled "Bodies and shadows : Caravaggio and European Caravaggism". The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is involved. See ot-montpellier.fr/en/diary/bodies-and-shadow…

By sheer coincidence, we saw that superb exhibition a few days after admiring the Caravaggios of Rome. Then again, it might be coming to LA ... assuming it did not originate there !

The link to the exhibit doesn't work. Try this, which looks the same, but seems to work:

ot-montpellier.fr/en/diary/bodies-and-shadow…

If this one doesn't work, you have to go to the main page for Montellier tourism and follow through the event, then choose "Exhibitions".

How many works by Caravaggio are in the exhibit? It sounds as though mostly painters influenced by him are featured.
