There's a restaurant called Mother India on Via dei Serpenti about 3 blocks north of the Colosseum that is usually busy when we are there. We've never eaten there but we walk by it all the time on the way to our hotel. It's on the east side of the street.

Hi,

Not sure how authentic the taste is but there are quite a few restaurants/fast food joints type of establishments serving north Indian cuisine around the Termini/ Piaza V. Emanuele area. The area looked slightly dodgy but not really intimidating.

Krishna 13 here gets reasonable reviews. Probably going to be cheaper than Sitar. .

Surprisingly bad reviews for Sitar are mostly from reviewers with Indian sounding usernames

Maharajah was good according to one of my friends.
