Query regarding italo treno

Hi all,

I am booking tickets at www.italotreno.it/EN/Pages/default.aspx from venice to rome, and it seems that booking tickets in same train but breaking up the journey as venice to bologona, and bologona to rome reduces fare. I just wanted to know if there is any issue with that.

Also, I believe the code that is generated through website on purchasing ticket is all that is needed, do one need to get some kind of validation done at station ?

Once you get the email ticket, that's all you need to show the conductor. There's no validation needed.

I see no problem buying two separate tickets, but you'd have to read the terms and conditions to see what would happen to your 2nd ticket if the first train is late or cancelled for some reason.

I bought tickets in the same train, so i guess that train delay should not be a problem ..

I presume that you will need to change seats, and possibly change railcars as well!
