Lift at St Peter's

I would really like to go up on the roof at St Peter's however, my son is blind and also has mobility problems - he could not use the stairs - does anyone know if the cost of €7 is each way to use the lift? Are there reductions for disabled people?

Thanks

It's for both ways. I'm not sure about discounts. The view is pretty good from the roof, and there's a snack bar and nice gift shop up there as well.

The elevator only goes 1/2 way, then there's 320 stairs to the top.

Thanks for the responses - I found the vatican website pretty hard to navigate so that was really useful - seems like this part of our trip is out of the question so the heads up is really useful - it would have been very frustrating to find this out when we arrived.
