Rome accommodation

My sister and i will travel to Rome on 13 September 2013 to 15 September 2013 ( 2 nights). We would like to stay at Trevi Fountain there. Is that any accommodation which is cheap, affordable, convenient for us to take the bus or train? Somemore, when we reach Rome already 10pm, how is the transportation that i need in order to reach the accommodation? Thanks for the advice.

Hi Cheeching, For cheap, try a place around the train station. There are busses from the station to everywhere in Rome. Have great vacation.

You can walk to the Trevi fountain from the Starhotel Metropole which is near the train station and has reasonable rates.

What do you consider cheap? September is high season so staying in the city center can be expensive. If you give us an exact amount of what you want to spend per night you'll get more specific recommendations.
