Trains from Rome Airport to Naples

We are traveling from the Rome Airport FCO to Naples by train. Which station is the easiest/most convenient Termini or Tiburtina?

Either station will work well for you.

If you go to Tiburtina, you can save 6 Euros by taking the cheaper Trenitalia airport train (8 Euros) instead of the more expensive airport train to Termini (14 Euros).

From Tiburtina, take Italo Treno nonstop to Napoli Centrale.

From Termini, take Trenitalia nonstop to Napoli Centrale (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento or Frecciabianca train)

Out of Termini, you have the option of taking one of the less expensive Trenitalia trains (Intercity or unreserved regionale) in lieu of the more expensive and faster Trenitalia Frecciarossa or Frecciargento. These slower trains (as well as the Trenitalia Frecciabianca) take the traditional rail line, which skirts the coastline around Formia and is a little more scenic than the interior high-speed rail line, used by Italo Treno and by Trenitalia Frecciarossa and Frecciargento trains.

There is a much better selection of food and beverages available at Termini. Very limited selection at Tiburtina.

Tiburtina is a MUCH quieter station. It is brand-new and state-of-the-art. Termini is very busy, noisy and very crowded. If you like swarms of people, you will love Termini.

Thank you for the detailed information! We will be tired from our 9 hr plus flight. I will probably welcome a quieter station. So did I get it right... both train stations are a train ride from the airport?

Yes. To get to Termini, you take the Leonardo Express (€14), and to get to Tiburtina you take the FL1 suburban service (€8).
