Transportatin, Rome.

Hi

We are a group of 10 going to Rome in may 2014.

Does anyone know of any transportation from the airport (coming from Oslo, Norway) going to our hotel close to Piazza Venezia?

I guess we can take seperate taxis, bus or underground?

Any large taxi that can take 10 persons? Aprox price?

Also, any inexpensive, but good, (great?) restaurant close to our adress?

Thanks for any info.

All the transport options are explained in the Top Question "To and from FCO airport" at top right of this page.

There are no taxis that will take 10 people. You would do best to arrange a private car and driver.

There are some taxis that will take 5 people, but most take only four. A private car and driver may well be cheaper than two or three taxis. Two companies that have been mentioned often for reliability are www.romeshuttlelimousine.com and www.romecabs.com . You can ask them for prices, mentioning the number of people, the destination, and your flight number and time it arrives. Neither company requires payment in advance. You pay on arrival at your destination.

Hi

Thank you both. It might be just as easy to take the train, and then perhaps taxi, 3 of them , to the hotel.

It would be cheaper and easier to take a transfer service directly to your hotel rather than taking the train and then a taxi. The express train is 14 euros each plus the cost of the taxi to the hotel. You should contact the two services listed above to see what they can do for you.
