Travelling Scots

Travelling to Rome for the 6 Nations Italy v Scotland match and looking for some advice re places to have a beer/wine. There are 4 couples (early 40s) travelling and we all like a lively venue for a bit of entertainment on our travels. Staying in the Waldorf Astoria Cavalieri and appreciate that this may not be central or the best drinking location in Rome so looking for some suggestions. No problems with taking taxis to/from venues as long as they are worth it. Staying Thursday through to Monday so any advice greatly appreciated.

If it was us guys it would not be an issue as we would be happy as long as there was beer available but we are taking our wives as we wouldnt get to travel to the Eternal City with-out them and they deserve (nay expect) better.

Thanks in advance

Craig

These might help:

Where to drink craft beer and fun cocktails: afar.com/travel-guides/…where-to-drink

More on craft beer places as well as wine bars: http://theromedigest.com/drink/

Maybe you'd enjoy a wine tasting (or craft beer tasting, or food tour) as a fun activity -- some great guides at http://theromedigest.com/learn/

Hope this helps and enjoy your trip!
