Weather in Rome

Hi,

I've heard the weather in Rome is quite bad at the moment. We flying out to Rome next Thursday and wondering how badly our plans will be affected. Are trains from Fiumicino to termini still cancelled?

Thanks

FR1 trains were cancelled, not the Leonardo Express (which was, and is, still running). Now it's raining but much, much less - the weather has improved. By Thursday everything will have gone back to normal.

We arrive Wednesday morning and were planning to take the FR1 in. Here's hoping the weather improves not just for us but for the city.

Can we get some updates about the flooding now in Rome please?

Again, floodings only affected parts of some districts in the outskirts and Fiumicino (the town, not the airport); most of Rome - including the city's historical centre - hasn't been touched by them. The FL1 line, as well as the Leonardo Express, is running with a train every 30 minutes. Both Metro and tram lines have been reopened and are running as usual.

Anyway - today the weather is clear, if slightly overcast; it's not raining (about time!).

Both airports (Fiumicino and Ciampino) are OK.
