Train to Florence from FCO airport(ROME)

Hi,

We shall be arriving at the FCO airport around afternoon. We want to go to Florence first. Will I get the train to Florence from the airport itself?

Please advice.

Thanks

No. Trains from the airport run only to Rome.

You take the Leonardo Express from FCO to Rome Termini (the main station) and change there for a fast train to Florence.

Okay, you could advice on the following:

In Italy we want to do the below:

Rome

Florence

Amalfi Coast and then we are flying to Athens.

Help me with the routing please :)

It does not matter what order you allocate for Florence and Amalfi Coast. Florence is well north of Rome, and the Amalfi Coast is even further south.

You can see train schedules (up until June) here:

www.trenitalia.com/cms/v/index.jsp…

For the Amalfi Coast, depending on exactly where you're going, you could take the train to either Naples or Salerno, and proceed from there by boat, bus, commuter train, or private transfer.
