If you are referring to the Foro Italico -- the large sports complex built by Mussolini, and used for the 1960 Olympics -- you can easily go and tour the area yourself. Here's info on how to get there: http://www.stadiumguide.com/olimpico/ There's a good walking tour of the area in Rome the Second Time -- …blogspot.com/2011/05/rst-top-40-5-foro-muss…

The sports complex is interesting for the history and the period architecture, if that's what interests you -- lots of references to Il Duce and personifications of the physical ideal of the day, with a track ringed by burly naked athletes clutching sports paraphernalia (naked skiing, anyone?). I did not go into the stadium itself, but walked the sports complex open areas. There's also the Palazzetto dello Sport, in the Flaminio area to the north of the city walls, also built for the 1960 Rome Olympics. Once again, some interesting architecture, if that's what interests you.

Hope this helps!

Note however that the Palazzetto dello Sport is located in the Parioli distict, not in the Flaminio neighbourhood (but the two places are very close to each other).
