Borghese Gallery & Vatican City in the same day?

We were going to make Vatican reservations for the afternoon, and are looking for something interesting to do in the morning. I have seen that many people enjoy the Borghese Gallery but they are in separate parts of Rome ... has anyone tried to do these both in one day, and how do you get from one place to another using public transit? Thanks!

This is easily done - you have two hours to explore the Borghese (rent an audio guide as they are excellent). Make sure you reserve your time as soon as possible as they limit the number of people that enter.
