Archaeologia Card

Hi there,

I'm looking at heading to Rome next weekend and have seen on a few websites about the above mentioned card which includes admission to the colosseum, palentine hill and Roman forum, the Roman national museum, the baths of caracella, the villa of the quintili and the tomb of the Cecilia metella. Would you say that for €25 that it's worth buying? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you

It is if you'll visit those places. If not, then no, it's not worth it.

You would have to visit nearly all of them to make it worthwhile. Many of these sites offer combined tickets, so you can save money without the Archaeologia card. For example, there is a combined ticket called Appia Antica, which includes Terme di Caracalla, Villa Dei Quintili and Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella, for €6. All four sites of the National Roman Museum (Terme di Diocleziano, Crypta Balbi, Palazzo Altemps and Palazzo Massimo) are included in the €10 ticket. Here is a page which has prices for all the state and municipal museums and archaeological sites in Rome, so you can see whether the Archaeologia card will save you any money:

It looks to me as though the most you could save is €3.
