My family of 4 is staying at the Albergo Cesari in mid August...Will post back my thoughts after the trip...but assume it will be too late to help you at that point

Albergo Cesari is a great option. Breakfast and/or drinks on the rooftop terrace is a nice bonus.

Also, check out Hotel Nazionale hotelnazionale.it/eng/deals-hotels-rome.html… Great location, good choice. Sometimes there are non-cancelable specials which are a really great deal. Of course, you have to be certain of the dates and choices before you book this option.

Albergo Cesari is a great hotel. We just got back last week. I will post a trip report. This hotel was within walking distance to just about everything. The hotel staff always had great recommendations not only for restaurants but just about any detail. Bed was very comfortable and despite being in the center and on a busy alley we couldn't hear anything when the windows were closed.

I stayed at hotel sole al pantheon. It was very nice...great location with some rooms overlooking the pantheon.

If you are planning on staying at Albergo Cesari, book directly with the hotel site. Cheaper than any other site. Also most sites will show "no vacancy" but the actual hotel site will show availability.

Very good hotel, stayed there before and again this coming Sept

Have a good holiday.

PS Trevi is under restoration
