We are planning on visiting Rome, Florence , Cinque Terra and Sienna this October. What kind of weather should we expect?
No one can predict the weather. Check the weather forecast two days before you leave to see how it's trending. Checking to far in advance won't do anything for you as the weather can change at any time.
Also, it will vary between the beginning and the end of the month and according to exact location. If you find it useful, here is the "average" for Rome - you can easily google for the same for other locations: holiday-weather.com/rome/averages/october/
But really, you'll have to check the forecast 5 days before departure and again just before.
>>There's absolutely nothing to do there in bad weather.<<
Oh, you can sit under an umbrella in a cafe and be totally miserable.
