subway or bus directions in Bologna

How do I get from the Central RR Station to the hotel Capella Rosso in Bologna, other than walking or taxi? It is on the Via Fusari , just off Independenza.

Bologna doesn't have a subway system.

Your hotel provides detailed instructions on what bus and the cost (€1.30) The bus system is very easy to use, they even tell you what bus, what stop (stops are announced ahead of time inside the bus on an overhead screen)

one thing they left out is that you must validate you bus ticket when you board, look for a small box either in the front and/or the rear of the bus, you insert your ticket into the slot and it will time/date stamp it

also the tourist board has a really useful website

We just returned from a week in Bologna. Bologna is fairly small and walkable - so you can either walk, take a bus, or a taxi. There are plenty of taxi's in front of the train station. We took three taxi's from the train station after 'day trips' and the price was under 10 Euro for each trip.
