Balsamic Vinegar tour

Besides the Ferrari Gallery, what are some other sights in Maranello or surrounding area that would be worth checking out?

Hi,

Maranello is a small town and don't have too much to see, except the Ferrari museum and the practice pit (when there are tests).

I think there are a lot of sight in the Modena province to see. Clearly the city of Modena with the Duomo (UNESCO site). www.duomodimodena.it

Near Maranello you can visit the park-museum of "Terramare", a prehistoric civilization developed in the northern Italy; it's located in Montale. www.parcomontale.it

A nice town is Vignola, with a wonderfull medieval center and a big castle. www.comune.vignola.mo.it

In Vignola you can find the "Acetaia Cà dal non" for a balsamic vinegar tour. www.cadalnon.it

Or other "traditional balsamic" producer are located near Spilamberto and near the highway A1 gate. In Spilamberto you can find the balsamic vinegar museum. www.museodelbalsamicotradizionale.org

If you like the mountain you can visit the area around the Monte Cimone (Fanano, Sestola, Pievepelago, Fiumalbo...). I suggest you the botanic park Esperia. http://www.cai.mo.it/esperia.php . It's a wonderfull area to have some not-so-difficult hike.

Bye

Yes, I know this park. It's good for mountaing bike, if you like it.

If someone like climbing I suggest in our zone the Pietra di Bismantova: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bismantova . It's another area for good hike.

Bye

This is one of the best I have visited and they also have a nice restaurant nearby too with lots of dishes using their wonderfil balsamic vinegar.

A spoonful of the 50 year old is an amazing experience which they will serve you after dinner as a digestivo.
