Rome to Rimini

Hi we are renting a car in Rome then travelling down to Rimini in September. Does anybody know what the road is like and whether there are any good hotels en-route?

Have a look at Google Maps for travel instructions to Rimini. The bulk of the trip will be on super highway.

In Europe, www.viamichelin.com is better than Google Maps. In particular, it has more realistic estimates of travel time.

The route past Perugia would be more interesting than going up the east coast.

Hi why do you think the Perugia route is more interesting than the coastal route and do you know of any good hotels where we could stay overnight?
