Travellers from Canada

I'm wondering if someone can suggest where to stay. We are two 50 year olds. We will be in the area for about 6 nights in September. We will not be lying on the beach, but do enjoy long sea side walks. Is there an area where we can take long walks with no cars (a passegiata) and lots of cafes to sit and enjoy a nice glass of vino?

The food is said to be good.

Must say I have been impressed with the replies I have had to e mails but wise to translate them into Italian using google translate.

If you want sent me a Private message after our return & I will update you

Rimini is one long sandy beach so you can take long walks anywhere. Same for the cafes, they are everywhere.

If you are looking for a hotel in particular you can check previous posts on this forum or the normal reviews on TripAdvisor: if I had the money I would like to stay at the Grand Hotel once just because of its history, but surely you can get better value for money in a 4 or 3 stars hotel.

Since you are staying for a full week and you are not planning to lie on the beach I strongly recommend to visit Rimini town centre and some of the inland villages (Gradara, San Leo, Torriana/Montebello, Verucchio, Santarcangelo, San Marino, etc.). I found this website about them, but unfortunately it's in Italian: http://www.lavalmarecchia.it/

One useful link in English:
