Shoes - Will these do?

I know there are a lot of opinions about shoes, but I was wondering if something like this: www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7388731/c/2024.html would be OK. Thanks!

Those are very similar to what I wore but I got mine from Land's End for $40. I wore them all over on the last trip(Rome to Venice) but I did not hike the very steepest trails from Monterosso to Vernaza in the CT.

If you are used to hiking, these would work even in the harder two sections

I bought these shoes, hike the Cinque Terre, and they worked PERFECT. Not even a sore spot, bruise or sore arch....highly recommend. Beautiful hike!

Mmmm, I have seen people hike even more difficult trails wearing sandals (particularly Germnan folks I have to say). Personally, I don't like them and favor a mroe traditional hiking shoe -- something like this: shop.df-sportspecialist.it/ec_prodotto.ctr…

The trails are NOT difficult, ordinary track shoes (not boots) will do fine.

Difficult ? Not to any Norwegian. But Exhausting, possibly if you're not used to hiking. 700+ steps between M and V might be hard on untraind knees if down

We would have done them in Tevas quite happily but it was very dusty and my feet would have been so horribly dirty by the end of it. In the end, we did it in an ordinary pair of trainers and that was fine. Yes, there are lots of steps etc but the main thing is you have shoes that are very comfy and won't slip if paths are wet.

We still ended up washing our shoes, I'm not sure why we seemed to pick up all the dust and sand and everybody else looked so pristine!

We don't do hill walking, but I do walk 6 miles a day to and from work and go to the gym occasionally. If you take it easy, anyone can do it I reckon. We did blast through the towns, stopping for a quick bite and lots of water. Definitely need to take water!!!

WE met a girl late twenties who claimed to have done all #2 in 3+ hrs. she was norwegian. i myself guess I'll use 5-6 not hurrying. In mountains here we calculate with 5-6 km an hour, with a backpack. No problems for anyone, if not heavy overweight or more used to cars than feet-
