Genoa Airport to MSC port

We are taking the cruise from Genoa, we will be arriving at 1325H and need to be at the port to board the cruise by 1530H.

1. What is the cheapest mode of transportation? How long will it take?

2. Is it necessary to take a taxi? Should we book a taxi before hand? How much will cost?

3. Any possibility that we could squeeze in to see some places before going to the port? We are crazy of photography and taking beautiful pictures.

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you

The cheapest practical mode of transport is this bus amt.genova.it/rete_e_orari/volabus_new.asp to Piazza Acquaverde in front of the Piazza Principe train station, then walk in 10-15 minutes. At €6 each the bus is not very cheap.

Taxis, however, are even more expensive. The fare should be €25 from the airport, but there have been reports on this forum of some drivers charging considerably more.

Twenty minutes in reasonable traffic conditions. Could be much longer at peak periods, but you're arriving at a good time.
