Boat trips Rapallo

they are not listed as an attraction here on TA which is a mind blowing error as it is the number one thing to do here by a million miles... For 11€ per adult return you can take the passenger boat to Portofino and on your return or outward journey you can stop off at Santa Margherita for a stroll around for an hour or two before heading back to Rapallo the first boat is at 9 and last back from Santa M is 5.15 all exceptional value for a days outting. PS make the trek to castillo brown when in Portofino fantastic views

If you are going to Portofino use the toilet on the boat before you get off as they charge EUR1 in Portofino.

From Rapallo there are also excellent boat trips to Cinque Terre. EUR33 for 9 hour trip including 3 hour stop in Monterosso, 1 hour in Vernazza and 1 hour in Riomaggiore.

Do these boat trips operate in the beginning of October? We will be in Rapallo for 6 days and hope to get on the water somehow.

See http://traghettiportofino.it/linee-gite/ - only Linea 1 on a reduced timetable and Gita 5 on Saturdays only operate in early October.

The ferry boat is great to be sure, but the walk from Santa Margherita Ligure to Portofino is also fabulous. For the best all around visit, able bodied folks might consider combining the 2.5 mile walk to or from SML and taking the boat on the other leg.

For the easiest listing on a site called 'A Path to Lunch', just use the search terms: Ferry Boat Schedules from Rapallo.

We will be arriving in Rapallo in the late afternoon and want to go to Portofino by boat for dinner. The last ferry is at 5:00, which we will plan to take. Is it easy to get back to Rapallo in the evening via other transportation? Looks like a taxi may be easiest - any advice?

A taxi is obviously easiest, but will be expensive.

Buses https://www.atpesercizio.it/cartina2.php… run from Portofino. On Mon to Sat, the last two buses at 20.20 and 23.15 run direct to Rapallo. Otherwise change buses (or take a train) in Santa Margherita. For the earlier Sunday times, click Portofino on the link provided then click the timetable.
