florence to paraggi beach

We are staying at a house there. We have 8 people in the party and need to travel from florence to paraggi. I guess we can get to Santa Margherita first but when I look at train schedule from florence, it says santa margherita is an invalid destination. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Depends which trenitalia website you use. On http://www.trenitalia.com/homepage_en.html you'll find 'Santa Margherita Ligure' is a valid destination, as is Florence. But on many others (the ones which require Firenze S M Novella) then the valid destination is 'S. Margherita Ligure'

And note that you will not find times online yet for this journey for dates later than June 9, so if necessary use a current date for planning, and use a date this week to see all fares as some connections are NA online more than seven days ahead.

Thanks, you are right the site accepts these as valid, but the result is "no solution is found"

There will be little or no change in the timetables between now and whenever you are travelling.

Advance payment is a waste of time for Florence-Pisa and for connections using Regional trains all the way to Santa Margherita, as there are no reserved seats and no advance reductions. Buy tickets for these trains in Italy, these tickets are OK for two months on any train until validated (time/date-stamped) just before boarding.

Tickets from Pisa to Santa Margherita on InterCity trains and Pisa to Rapallo on Frecciabianca trains can be booked now for dates much further away than June 9, though I haven't checked how far.
