Driving in Lomabardy during Christmas time.

We are driving from Linate Airport Milan, stop at Bergamo and continue driving to San Pelligrino Terme and stop for the night during the week between Christmas and New Year - is it safe to drive? We intend to continue driving the following day to either Piazzatorre or Foppolo and drive our way to Como/Chernobbio for the night - is it safe to drive via Menaggio or go down and pass through Monza? Any suggestions please would be greatly appreciated.

At the moment the roads are all clear so driving isn't a problem but it would be better to check out the weather just before you arrive to get up to date info.
