Breakfast pit stop from Malpensa airport to Bellagio

Hi

Our plane gets in around 8.20am. Can anyone suggest somewhere nice and comfortable for us to stop off and have a late breakfast and kill some time. After a long flight we won't be up to sightseeing and it will be too early to check in to our accommodation.

You won't be out of the airport much before 10 am. If you're driving, it's at least two hours to Bellagio; by public transport it's more, and restaurants will be opening for lunch.

If you're coming from Australia, they'll serve breakfast before you land.

Sorry should have clarified. We are driving. Ok let's call it brunch then. We just really need some place to veg out a while, I'm sure we will be looking forward to something a little nicer than what they serve on the plane. We won't be wanting a silver service restaurant though, somewhere casual would be great.

Brunch is not served in Italy, except in a few chi-chi places in the major cities. Restaurants do not open before 12:30 or so for lunch. You will have to look for a caffe.

And a typical Italian breakfast consists of a coffee and just one brioche or similar.

Obviously tourists get served very different and much larger breakfasts in hotels, but an ordinary cafe may well not provide anything more.

Have your breakfast at the airport.

Breakfast at the airport.

Personally, I have always been reluctant to leave all of our luggage in an unattended rental car. But then in six trips to Europe, we have never had any problem at all so I am probably over cautious.

Why not to have breakfast at the airport before renting the car?

One other thought, even it might be too early in the day for check-in, almost all hotels will glad to keep a few bags for a few hours.

Might be worth having a look through www.milanairportguides.com or contacting them direct to see if they can offer any help!

Have a safe trip

Before promoting your own website (which is anyway frowned upon here on TA), you might want to revise the information contined therein -- at the moment, many pages seem to be pathetically out-of-date.
