Italy cooking school with non-cooking husband?

I would like to spend a few days (maybe a week?) with a focus on cooking classes. My husband wants to come along, but he has no interest in cooking. He'd prefer some wine tours, sightseeing or golf. Can anyone suggest something that would work for both of us? Is there a cooking class program (more than just one day) that has this type of arrangement already in place? Thanks for any help you can give.

There is a very good restaurant that does cooking classes in Varenna:

There is a golf course in Menaggio (opposite side of lake to Varenna)
