    What about a rental car around Stresa and Lake Maggiore?

    My wife and I will be staying in Stresa for 4 days the second week of Sept. 14. arriving by train from Milano. Any recommendations about renting a car to explore the area as well as going to the north part of Lake Maggiore instead of taking the train up and boat back from Switzerland? Also, it seems a car might be easier to slip over to Como for a day than train back to Milano and transferring to Como. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
