We are coming to Italy in March for 17 nights. Our first stop is Milan. After seeing "the last supper", the Duomo, the Galleria and the other sights of Milan, we would like to do a day trip before we head to Florence for our Second Stop.
What would you recommend for March: Como--Genoa--Turin--or would a tour of the countryside be best? Wife is an artist/photographer and I love scenery, architecture and we both love food.
Would you suggest a tour agency or guide or strike out on our own? We are traveling independent and we are both 60 years old.
Any suggestions are quite graciously accepted.
