Zurich-Milan-Rome

Hi

We will be arriving at Milan Central from Zurich then connecting to Rome.

Just wondering when we arrive in Milan, would we be catching the train to Rome on the same level as we arrive, would we have far to go to the platform to catch the Frecciarossa train to Rome ?

Thanks for any advice

All the platforms of the mainline station at Milan Central are at the same level. Just look at the departure screens for your train to Rome and go to the allocated platform (binario).

Would it take long to get to one platform to the other if it was located down the other end ?

Thanks

No. Train stations are far more compact than airports. After all, you can fit 6 tracks and 3 platforms inside the wingspan of a modern jet. Trenitalia gives a minimum connection time of 15 minutes at Milan Central.
