place to stop/eat/visit between Aosta and Monterosso?

Hello-we are traveling by car from Aosta to Monterosso, Cinque Terre--does anyone have a recommendation for a nice place to stop and take a break, maybe eat, see something unusual/beautiful along the way? Inland or coast after Genova. (We will bypass Genova on the autostrada). Any suggestions welcome! Grazie.

After Genoa, maybe Camogli. Leave the autostrada at Recco, rejoin at Rapallo - it's a very pretty diversion.

Camogli is lovely for a stop after Genova, but if you decide to stop prior to Genova, enjoy la cucina tipica piemontese with a stop in Acqui Terme, a gracious spa town with delicious cuisine and wines.
