Up the mountains by cable car (Funivia)

Hi, I'm planning a day trip to Bolzano next week, can any one please tell me how to get to cable cars to go up the mountains and price. Will be 4 people, 2 adults and 2 youths (13 and 11 years.) And what to expect to see once up there.

Thanks.

You will see the other side of the mountain, just as the bear did!

You should really be more specific. Do you wish to go to somewhere like Alpe di Siusi or Ortisei on the bus or did you have somewhere else in mind.

Will you have a car or rely on public transport

There are 3 cable cars in the Bolzano area itself. Not really "in the mountains"

http://www.bolzano-bozen.it/en/cable-cars.htm

The Ritten/Renon costs €6 one way €10 return

ritten.com/en/discover-renon/cablecar-renon/

more info on the German pages

ritten.com/de/…

Located at the end of the via Renon/Rittner Strasse

The number 170 bus from Bolzano to Siusi/Seis runs ever 30mins (Mon- Sat every hour on Sundays and public holidays) and the journey takes ~ 40mins

www.sii.bz.it for local transport solutions

Purely as an example at Alpe di Siuis it is €14 return trip although there are different combi cards available.

Cable car from Seis to the Compatsch area on the map below
