Water Taxi from Train Station

Last year when we arrived at the airport, the water taxi was pretty easy to figure out. This year we are arriving by train. There are 3 of us. We are staying at the Residence Corte Grimani near St. Mark's. How difficult is it to find the taxi stand and what is the approximate cost for this short trip? I am assuming it is about 15 minutes? Thanks.

There are Water Taxis for hire outside the Station, at a guess the fare would be around €40,

Hi

We went to Verona on the train. The cheaper option by far would be to but a ticket at either 1 or 82 bus pontoon and just get off at your stop near San Marco unless of course you have a load of luggage.

Thanks Cheryl. But, we're taking our 17 year old neice wo has never traveled before. There's nothing like gong down the Grand Canal in style on your first trip. Plus, the luggage issue.

The Hotel is not really near a Vaporetto stop, being almost central between Rialto and San Marco,

There is a Vaparetto stop right outside the train station. If you take the No. 1 it will take you down the Grand Canal to San Marco. They may charge you 6 Euros for luggage but it would be a lot cheaper than water taxi.

Yes but this Hotel is mid-way to walk between the Rialto and San Marco, especially with a lot of baggage,
