More information would be helpful like what kind of food you like and how much you want to spend....do you want it near where you are staying and if so it would be helpful to give the area also what dates you will be here and what day you want the meal as many restaurants close different days...

It would be helpful to give more information as Venicej says,

But if you put "Restaurants " in the search box on the right, there is pages of ideas,

Restaurants are such a personal thing - everyone has their own likes and dislikes - that recommending somewhere is always difficult.

However, foolhardy as ever - the restaurants in the Bauer and Metropole Hotels are well recommended (the "Met" at the Metropole Hotel has a Michelin star); the only other restaurant in Venice with a Michelin star is Da Fiore in Calle del Scaleter, San Polo 2202.

Other good Hotel restaurants, with fine views of the Grand Canal, are the Monaco-Grand Canal and the Gritti Palace. None of the above are cheap, or even reasonable - all very expensive.

For a good meal at more reasonable prices I like Cantinone Storico in Fondamenta Bragadin, Dorsoduro (just off Campo San Vio) which has a typical varied Venetian menu and for a meat only menu with no seafood ai Gondolieri on Fondamenta Zorzi-Bragadin, Dorsoduro (almost opposite the Peggy Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art)

Near the Rialto Fiaschetteria Toscana in Salizzada San Giovanni Crisostomo, Cannaregio is excellent.

But all this is only according to my taste-buds. No guarantees yours will agree.

Thanks for the advise. We have booked the Osteria de Fiore now which sounds wonderful. Your help much appreciated.

Just note, there is da Fiore and Fiore, it can be confusing da Fiore in San polo is the Michelin one, the other is in San Marco,
