Vapereto passes

Hi All,

I bought a vaperetto pass on my first day in venice but no-one ever asked to see it. no one else on the boat appear to flash their ticket at the activation machine either. It appeared that people just jump on and off at will with no care about tickets.

Out of curiosity, is this the norm? Is there any check done ever?

Just curious

J.

You should always scan the card every time you use a Vaporetto,
