Desperado in Venice - Hotel or B&B

Hi Guys and Girls,

I know there must be tons of information within this forum where i can find information of which best hotel or B&B to stay... But i really need a quick answer as I'm very near to my travelling dates! And I needed to book 3 room altogether. I'll be in Venice in 1st week April.

This is my first time to Venice, budget about 200 Euros a night, and prefers to stay near San Marco. If this budget not possible, any suggestions for a good hotel nearby this region?

Your help and comments is greatly appreciated.

Thank yoU!

Hi, we give you a couple of addresses which you can at least compare the rates with the locations you mentioned.

Have you considered an apartment? There are so many available but maybe you have left it a little late. Have a look at T/A Vacation Rentals if you are interested in an apartment.

Good Luck

In the upper left side of the page is VENICE HOTELS .... dig in and search just like the rest of us do. Specify the date, budget and area and see what's available at this late date.

You can do a similar search on www.venere.com

You do not need to be in San Marco. If a queen, a single and a foldout couch will do try this apartment. Veronica rents for minimum 3 nites. Great location, nice apartment. May be available.

Hi, I have made a searh for you and believe won't be longer a Desperado.

It seems there are apartments available with Last Minute discounts.

Please let me know if it works out.

Thanks everyone! Very helpful.

Now I've narrowed down to a few choices:

1) Pesaro Hotel - Is it really a 15mins walk from hotel to San Marco Area?

2) Best Western Cavellato (it looks a bit old from photos... isit?)

3) NH Manin (How far is it to get to San Marco area? Is it accessible?)

4) Casa Santa Maria Formosa...

Which can be my best bet? I'm currently inclined towards Pesaro because it looks new and comfortable... but on the map it looks quite far to get to San Marco Area... yet in the reviews pple said it is 15mins walk? How true is it?

No where is far in Venice, and Cannaregio is a good area to stay,go by your instincts , but at such a late date do not delay,
