Booking via Airbnb

We’re looking at making a long stay in Venice, April and May 2014, so it would be apartment accommodation. Dorsoduro / Academe is our preference.

We have previously booked via VRBO, and it has been good. However, Airbnb lists a few places that would work for us. The problem is that many Airbnb places have a one month limit on rentals, and we’d prefer not to move half way through our visit.

Does anyone know if the one month limit on Airbnb listings is a limit imposed by Airbnb, or is it a limit imposed by the actual owner. Maybe it’s limited by the sort of rental guarantee that Airbnb offer.

Hosts are expected to rent in line with local laws so if their properties are located where long time rentals are allowed then they can rent for long term stays. They can also set whatever terms (min days, etc) they want. Check with each owner for their requirements.

I agree - owners can rent for as long short as they like as long as they declare it ! I only know places in Santa Croce and Cannaregio that could rent longer so sorry not that helpful!!!!
