Pasta e Fasioi, (Bean and pasta soup) bigoli, (Venetian pasta), Fegato alla Veneziana (Calf liver) and of course Bacalà inall the different ways.

I think polenta isn't actually a local dish in Venice, although it's been adopted there. (Also in Le Marche, where I live.)

Bvlenci: Polenta and baccalà is a typical veneto dish.

And polenta is white in Veneto.

Well, I've learned something. I've never seen white polenta in Italy, although white corn meal is common in the US, and is often used to make the American version of polenta, corn meal mush. The Americas are actually the original source of polenta, because the native Americans made it long before Europeans arrived, and maize was imported to Europe from there.

Another similar American dish, always white, is grits, which is made from ground corn kernels that have been soaked in an alkaline solution so that the outside part of the kernel can be removed. Grits are a very popular breakfast dish in the south of the US.
