Hi, we will be going to Venice in June 2014 for one week. Flying from Toronto, Canada. Anyone else?
Yes....we were there June of this year ( crazy busy) but only for 2 days and we fell in love with the place, so we are headed back for one full week. :)
We flew from Toronto to Venice on Air Canada. If you are flying Air Canada I would suggest you upgrade to first class, as it was one of the smallest, most uncomfortable flights I have been on...especially since it was a rather lengthy flight. We all had barely any room in front of us for our legs, and no TV or movies at all on the flight.
But...once we got to Venice it was wonderful...so it certainly was a small price to pay for a great vacation!!
We flew with Air Transat on their Club Class....simply wonderful. and a lot less than Aie Canada first class. :) :)
I agree. So magical.
I was there in June 2012 and loved it too. I was only there for 2 days while on a cruise so have no idea of hotel prices there.Edited: 28 November 2013, 07:20
We were in Venice June 11th to the 14th,and on the Friday we were coming back from the islands of Murano and Burano we saw a cruise ship leaving....were you on that ship?
We stayed and will be staying at he Hotel Principe....right on the Grand Canal near the train station....fantastic location....large rooms with full American breakfast included....$1753.00 for the week
Flying Air Transat Club Class........so counting the days. :) :) :)
June is a lovely time, from the point of weather, to visit Venice and one when my wife and I frequently go there - late may and early June especially. However it is also a time when lots of other people will be visiting so expect significant crowds in the popular tourist places such as Piazza San Marco and the Doge's Palace as well as the Rialto Bridge area.
