night train Venice to Paris

Hi, originally we plan to take night train from Venice to Paris in Oct 2014, to save time & one night hotel. However, when we look up Eurail timetable today, we find that EN220 only run till June. Is that announced that night train from Venice to Paris will finish after June 2014 ?

Other than night train, how can we go from Venice to Paris ?

Train timetables run from December to June, and June to December, usually only one timetable period is printed or uploaded at a time.

The Venice to Paris Thello sleeper train can be a fun experience, ironically it gets better reviews from those who pay a cheap €35-€55 fare to travel in the economical couchettes, bring a picnic and bottle of wine, and have fun. It's certainly more interesting than flying (a waste, flights are the same everywhere, they aren't a unique European experience, you can see the inside of a plane at home)

A better alternative is to go (1) Venice Santa Lucia-Milan Centrale or Turin by Frecciabianca train from just €19 at www.trenitalia.com or www.italiarail.com then (2) Milan Porta Garibaldi or Turin Porta Susa to Paris Gare de Lyon from €29 by TGV, booked at www.capitainetrain.com.

Venice-Milan-Turin runs every hour throughout the day, just 2h35 to Milan, 4h05 to Turin.

There are 3 TGVs per day, from Milan at 06:00, 08:50, 16:10, Turin depart 07:46, 10:15, 17:35, Paris arrive 13:24, 16:11, 23:19 respectively.

You can either do the whole trip in a day, or break it with an overnight stop in Milan or Turin - and Turin is a lovely city.

There's nice scenery through the French Alps, before the TGV joins the high-speed line and accelerates to 186mph.

A far more relaxed and interesting experience than trekking to and from airports, and the nightmare of modern commercial flying, I expect Venice to Paris would take around 5 hours by air in total.
