From Airport to Hotel

We are two seniors who have booked at the Hotel Bernardi near the Ca D'oro water-bus stop. We are just wondering which is the more comfortable way to travel to the hotel from Marco Polo Each of us will have a 20 kg wheeled luggage:

A. Take the orange Alilaguna Line from Marco Polo to the Rialto stop and then get on to a Vaporetto to reach Ca D'Oro which is one stop away or

B. take the airport bus (ATVO) to Piazzale Roma and then board a vaporetto to the Ca D'ora stop.

Is it going to be very crowded on the vaporetto at about 11 am? Also considering using a water taxi but have been warned of the difficulty of getting on and off the motor boats at non-floating landings .

Would really appreciate some advice.

option a would be the most comfortable - more direct, and about the same amount of time [or not much more] than option b.

The water taxis often use a vaporetto dock (even though they technically shouldn't) and assist you in boarding and disembarking. Keep in mind that from Rialto the Ca' d'Oro stop is *2* stops away (there is the Rialto Mercato stop in between). You also have the slightly quicker alternative of the San Stae stop to switch to the vaporetto from Alilaguna, but at 11am, the Rialto stop will probably be less crowded in the direction of Ca d'Oro, as from San Stae you would get all those arriving from P.le Roma and the train station towards Rialto and San Marco (the arriving crowds), and would also have to cross to the opposite side of a probably crowded vaporetto with luggage, in this case in just one stop.

I know it wasn't in you list of options and also that it is more expensive but I have booked this shared water taxi service from Marco Polo to a hotel hear Ca d'Oro. It works out at 27 euros each.

Thanks for the link, Almatt. Did your driver offer a helping hand to those who needed help getting on and off the boat? As the price is reasonable, we may consider this option if the weather is fine and the water looks calm. Did the boat stop at the Ca D'oro vaporetto landing or near the Campo SS Apostoli?

We will stay at Best Western Hotel Bologna (Mestre) train station right across street & bus stop 1/2 block. Does airport sell bus ATV tickets & rail in same shop? And what is least expensive way to get to hotel. What's the name of the rail tickets?

Two days later from Best W. (Mestre) What do you recommend for inexpensive transfer to go to Marritime port?

The only really convenient way to get to the Cruise Terminal is a land Taxi, much less expensive is a Bus to Piazzale Roma from there the People Mover ( Monorail) €1.30 to the Terminal, , but this could entail a long walk depending where the ship is berthed,
