Last time we were in Venice we stayed at Santa Chiara and walked there from the train station. This time we are going to stay at Locanda Herion in Canarregio. We can either walk from Piazalle Roma or take the vaporetto. The only problem with walking is dragging your luggage over some of the bridges. How awkward is it dragging your luggage on to a vaporetto. Any advice?

1. Re: vaporetto

You would only have 2 Bridges from Piazzale Roma, 1 big, the other not too bad, , no problem with luggage and off of Vaporetti, although they can be busy, Piazzale Roma to San Marcuola is the third stop

not far to walk to the Hotel,

The vaporetto deck is flush with the floating landing stage so easy to wheel your luggage on or off. Disabled people do not have a problem with boarding or disembarking - I speak as one myself.
