Le Boat hire out self drive cruisers in the Veneto area, which includes Venice. There will be some restrictions as to where you can navigate.

Have seen the motor boats at the islands and Lido but few venture into Venice you need to know where you can go and where you can tie up... You can't just tie up at a public landing area for example and its not as if they are signposted ...I would contact the rental companies and see what extra info they provide,
