Verona Bus Tour Company

I found a company online called Verona Bus (www.veronabus.it) who offer various tours in and around Verona but strangely cannot find any mention of them on Trip Advisor. Does anyone have any experience with this company?

You did not exactly ask this question but a bus tour will depend on what you are interested in.

Verona itself is mainly a walking town with a lot of pedestrian only streets, so cannot imagine going around by bus or van inside Verona, but others may differ on that.

If you want to go to Garda locations you can do it easily and cheaply by public bus. Venice you can go to by train, but it takes time by either bus or train.

Other sites may benefit from guide and bus. But again depends on what you want to see, a bus with guide is easy, but you go at their pace and to where they want to take you.

Well they do various bus tours out of Verona. Some maybe easier to do with the tour than others (e.g. Valpolicella wine tour).

As said above however there are local bus services from Verona t oLake Garda

The 162 bus starts in Verona and goes via Peschiera del Garda train station and up the east side of the lake

The maximum tariff T8 to go from Verona to Riva in the north is only €5.80

To see the ticket tariffs from Verona just choose your town of interest

Tickets are sold at the bus station. You can buy tickets in local paper shops/tobacconists in the villages. If you buy from the driver there is a 80cts surcharge

The Brescia Transport LN026 goes from Verona via Peschiera to Sirmione and Desenzano

trasportibrescia.it/upload/…LN026.pdf

€3-4 to go from Verona to Sirmione

Peschiera and Desenzano both have train stations on the Milan-Venice Intercity line and cheap Regional trains only cost a few €s from Desenzano/Peschiera back to Verona

Thanks for the advice. I'm unfamiliar with the places you mentioned but maybe you can make some recommendations for a realistic itinerary in one day to see how highlights. We're not looking for anything in particular, just some nice, picturesque towns where we can spend a day strolling around and enjoying the scenery.

I don't think you could go wrong visiting the Sirmione historical town except there will be a lot of tourists there, like most places in season. See the above for bus times route 026. This is just one possibility, and it would likely take most of a day to do including lunch. If you go suggest buying return tickets as well when you buy your tickets in Verona (just single tickets, one for each way)
