I can't see why not. With a 125cc you'll be ok.

From Scopello: Segesta 26Km, 30mins - San Vito 43Km, 50mins.

On the mountains behind Cefalu' you'll find the 'Regional Park of the Madonie' with its highest point at 'Pizzo Carbonara' (1979 m.). The roads climb steeply and have lots of sharp bends, not quite the irish country lanes (therefore take it easy) but with a great views.

Enjoy!

It is absolutely possible to visit Segesta and San Vito from Scopello, and the Madonies from Cefalu on a motorbike.

The roads to Segesta and San Vito are excellent. Sal is correct – the Madonies are steep, and there are switchbacks, so more of a challenge, but very possible.

thanks for that - ill rent the bike then.

my only problem now is Agrigento - i want to go there for one day (staying in Sciacca overnight) but dont have and after looking at bus/train connections it would take up most of day to get across....so was wondering could i go by bike, or would it be too far??? it looks like a car would be €50 per day, so guess could do it €100 for 2 days...

might just need to bite the bullet.

Do you mean from Cefalu?

Check driving routes on ViaMichelin:

viamichelin.com/viamichelin/…MaHomePage.htm

Cefalu to Agrigento is 153km and would take 01h58 to drive.

Cefalu Bus Routes:

…indettaglio.it/eng/…

Cefalu to Agrigento by train would take a little over 2 hours.

Trenitalia:

Getting to the Valley of the Temples:

valleyofthetemples.com/getting_to_Agrigento.…

Sciacca is only an hour from Agrigento.

Sciacca to Agrigento is 61km and would take 00h58 to drive.

A car would be the most convenient and worth the cost!
