booking with trenitalia online

hi folks,

thanks for your help with the transport,

Last night I tried to book my overnight train from naples to taormina using the trenitalia website. However once it got to the point of confirmingthe payment it said payment denied. We phoned the bank and everything from this end is fine.

I was wondering if anyone else from Britain has had problems booking online trains?

I don't want to phone them as the charges are expensive. What else can I do?

I arrive in naples at 19.oo on the 17th Oct and wanted to board the train that night.

You are not alone Lynn – the site is notorious!

Enter “payment on trenitalia” in the Search box in the Italy forums.

"Payment denied" on trenitalia website:

A call to Trenitalia might not even help the situation – you may have to just purchase your tickets when you arrive.

Buona fortuna!
