Sicily

Buon Giorno:

We are a family for 4 (kids: 11 and 8). We are flying into Trapani on June 25 for 2 weeks. Can someone recommend where to visit (we will have a car) and where to stay (pool if possible). We would really appreciate it.

Thanks, Renee

Welcome to Sicily!

Would you prefer to base in one or two places, or tour around the island?

Thank you so much for your response and I apologize for not responding sooner. We just moved again...

We are all set for Taormina --our next stop is Cefalu. Any suggestions?

Ciao....Renee

For Cefalu, or for an itinerary?

You will have two weeks, arriving and departing in Trapani, correct?

What are your interests?

Hi,

We (incl. two kids, age 12 and 13 year)stayed two weeks last year at hotel santa lucia e le sabbia d'oro, Cefalu. We were very pleased with this hotel, it has an own staff for entertaining, kids club, football match, dance group, pool games, games at the beach and so on.

The hotel are about 2km outside the citycenter, but you can walk along the water side, almost no cars, or you can the take bus, it runs frequently.

If you choose this hotel, make sure not to get a seaview, because of the noise from the disco (every night). In the front of the hotel (not seaview) you can't hear the noise on the balconies.

On the beach it is magnificent for the kids (and adults) to snorkling, do wear bathingshoes.

Consider writing a hotel review FunItaly - The existing reviews are mixed, and your opinion would help future travellers.
