Where to go in Italy with a 18month and 12 yr old

Hi,

We would like to have a summer holiday in Italy (June). We have only ever been to Rome before. Our criteria is as follows:

Good hotel (with childs pool) something above the average price and with some class, not a typical (holiday camp style hotel)

Transfer no more than an hour

Sea view, but not overally fussed about sitting on the beach so beach doesn't have to be glorious sand etc

We love boats and would ideally like to be near a harbour/mooring area where we can enjoy the wonderful italian food whilst watching the boats.

Within walking distance of shops, restaurants etc.

Any help would be very much appreciated, i have been searching the net for days and am a bit scrambled.

Thank you

Joanne

Welcome to the Sicily forums!

Sorrento is a possibility, but in Sicily, check Taormina.

And most certainly take a look at Lerici (Tellaro) in Liguria.
