Small boat hire Eastern Sicily

HI All,

We are a couple planning to stay in Taormina for 2 weeks in July, and we would like to rent a small boat like a 5ish meter RIP or dinghy for 2-3 days. We will have a car and don't mind travelling up or down the coast.

Any tips?

Thanks

Boat rentals are possible in Taormina.

wocketus,

you can find boat rentals at Giardinni naxos or in the large port of Riposto, your hotel can probably give you more info as well. You may want to book once you are in Sicily, that way you have more flexibility based on the weather. In two weeks you could even drive up to Milazzo and ferry/hydrofoil to Vulcano where there are rib rentals directly from the beach, just an idea. That way you can explore the Aeolian Islands too.

To rent boats here in Italy you need to have the license required in your place of residence to rent the same size and powered craft.

Ciao,

Cristian

As Cristian A suggested, you would enjoy more flexibility if you were to book after your arrival so you could check the weather, and also your various options.

And surely if you plan to hire a boat for multiple days, a day on the Aeolians would be a fantastic experience!
