Sicily to Puglia

Hi

Just wondering what is the best way to get from Sicily (Catania area) to Puglia (Bari) in mid-Oct ?

So far I've been unable to find an airline that flies directly.

If by car is the only or best option, is it possible to pick-up from Catania & return to Rome airport?

Many thanks in advance

Welcome to Sicily Braqs!

Unfortunately Sicily to Puglia is not a convenient route.

Volotea flies from Catania to Bari.

Best way to travel from Messina or Catania to Bari or Lecce:

Yes, it's possible to hire the car in Catania and return the car at Rome's airport, but not all suppliers permit cars on ferries, and be sure the car is insured during the time on the ferry. Contact Auto Europe.

Hi again Vagabonda

We'll be spending the week before Sicily in Malta & then catching a ferry to Pazallo. We plan to spend about 5 days in the Siracusa/Catania area before flying from Catania to Puglia.

We plan to hire a car for out time in Malta and Sicily and are wondering whether it's better to do two separate hires (one in Malta, and another in Pazallo) or to hire once in Malta & drop-off the same car in Catania (which I believe is possible).

We welcome & very much appreciate your thoughts & any recommendations.

Many thanks

Braqs
